Protection against LSPI (Low Speed Pre-Ignition)

The LSPI problem also known as SPI (Stochastic Pre-Ignition), describes the stochastically occurring, undesirable pre-ignition in the combustion chamber,which causes knocking of the engine at high load and low engine speed and massive piston damage in modern turbocharged gasoline engines with direct injection leads.

GM has therefore come up with a new factory standard, which dexos 1: 2015 responds. This standard focuses specifically on the reduction of LSPI events.

Only engine oils, which offer the highest engine cleanliness, optimally protect against wear and ensure a very good fuel economy
